Brew Ratios
Getting the ratio right is key to a balanced brew.
By Weight: 1 gram of coffee per 16 grams of water
By Volume: 1 rounded tablespoon per 4 ounces of water
👉 Example:
4 rounded tablespoons for a 16 oz mug
2 rounded tablespoons for an 8 oz cup
This ensures your coffee is never too weak or overpowering—just bold, smooth, and perfectly extracted.

Water Temperature Matters
- Ideal Range: 195–205°F
- Quick Tip: No thermometer? Bring water to a boil, then let it rest for 30 seconds before pouring.
Why it’s important: using water that’s too hot burns the delicate flavor notes—like chocolate, floral, or sweet undertones—leaving your coffee bitter instead of balanced.
